You’re reading a protocol when suddenly you encounter a step so vague it doesn’t make sense. No worries, JoVE’s next invention has you covered.
The Ask JoVE button is here.
"We created this new feature because we want to visualize all the science literature in the world," says our CEO, Moshe Pritsker, "For every science article you read, click on the Ask JoVE button and immediately see videos of experiments related to this article, filmed at the best university labs."
With the Ask JoVE button, you can be more like Dr. Carrie Northcott. Formally a principle investigator at Michigan State University’s Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Dr. Northcott used JoVE to teach her students the trying task of implanting a catheter.
Initially it took multiple tries, multiple efforts, whereas now when we teach this technique with the video we have between a 90 to 100 percent success rate. I’ve always been surprised that by the end of a short course, where we have ten to fifteen people in a room, within 2 to 3 hours they will have been able to successfully implant a catheter. And I think the videos had a very strong part in that. -Dr. Carrie Northcott

In the meantime, you can download the Ask JoVE button for free at www.AskJoVE.com. Simply drag it into your internet browser’s bookmarks bar, and then click it to watch scientific demonstrations related to whatever journal article you're reading.
